All belt driven and just staked down with no connection to tractor except belt. Your tractor pully will be a 6" face pully so do not go any wider but you can go narrower.

Just taking a wild guess that the mill pulley was 4" in dia and driven at 3000fps. That would calculate an shaft speed of 3140rpm. It would be safe to direct drive this unit with a 10 or 15/16HP 3450rpm electric motor. Handier and cheaper to run per hour than a tractor. If my math is correct.

The mill shaft generally needs rpms. The speed really isn't required for grinding the grain.....but to run the blower fast enough to clear the mill as the grain is ground. I converted a Wards belt drive to pto drive using a car axle with a donut tire rubbing against the flat belt pulley, just last spring.

The output of the LANCK1757 varies with the moisture content of grain and PTO HP of the tractor. Up to 2,600 BPH can be processed with just a 165 PTO HP tractor at 25% moisture, making it very desirable to the average sized farmer.
